Duluth, MN. – March 13th, 2006 – Ascendview, LLC, a leading provider in IT management and automation solutions, today announced the release of WildMetrix 2.2. This latest release was a formulation of customer feedback and posturing of WildMetrix in today’s market. WildMetrix is currently used in many different business scenarios from managed services to the medical industry. Ascendview collaborates with its customer base to gain deeper insight into delivering a complete solution.

Throughout the WildMetrix product life cycle, Ascendview has viewed its customer base as their industry experts. This is evident by the wide monitoring capabilities (from SNMP to Web Application monitoring) and product functionality. In addition, WildMetrix has been architected to fit the different customer environments. This would include infrastructures that are geographically separated, monitoring devices agentless or monitoring devices over the WAN across the country.

“As WildMetrix progresses down the product life-cycle, we will continue to utilize our customer base to formulate our product roadmap”, says President Mike Dobe. “We have concluded that our customers are best fit for understanding their monitoring needs, as well as the functionality which optimizes the intuitiveness of our solution.”

This latest version’s enhancements concentrated on rapid results to increase the business benefits and the efficiency for the IT organizations. These latest features are focused on management and distribution of infrastructure data and widening WildMetrix’s monitoring capabilities. New features introduced include:

  • Web Reporting - All the reports are now available in a Web Browser. View the WildMetrix reports on WWW or Intranet. EventLog, SysLog, IIS WebLog, ProcessLog, ServiceLog, and SNMP Traps are featured reports. New reports also include Canned Performance and Security Auditing Reports.

  • Business Units - Devices and users are grouped together so only relevant data is displayed in reports. This is designed for monitoring multiple customers as a service, allowing each customer to see only the reports that pertain to their devices.

  • Savable ADHOC Reports - Select from Performance Chart Templates, Devices and Counters to create saved ADHOC reports; customize and streamline reporting protocols.

  • Categorized Security EventLog - Drill down reports for Audit Failures, Account Logins, Log On/Log Off, Account Management, Object Access, Detailed Tracking, System Events, Directory, Service, Privilege Use, and Policy Changes.

  • PROBES - Probes allow initiation of service tests from a user perspective, and provide the ability to monitor many different services from an external perspective. WildMetrix Probes support SCRIPT, SMTP, HTTP, SQL, DNS and TCP.

  • Scheduled Alert Black-Out – Scheduled black-outs allow specific alerts to be shut off when they are expected to occur or do not require to be managed.

In addition, Ascendview is committed to providing superior services to their customers and potential customers. Whether it is an evaluation for a potential customer or current customer, Ascendview provides for each a dedicated Integration Specialist to assist in deployment, training, setting baselines for monitoring and “getting results”.
