DULUTH, MN – November 13th, 2007 – Ascendview, a leading provider in live diagnostic network and application monitoring software today has announced the release of SNMP Expressions, an expansion to the WildMetrix Live Monitoring Platform (WildMetrix).

With the new SNMP Expressions, a widely used industry standard of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), WildMetrix will help application and network engineers overcome limited visibility into end-to-end performance, capacity and availability. Without the ability to identify in which layer of the infrastructure a problem exists, IT professionals cannot easily diagnose, isolate and repair such problems.

With this new capacity, Ascendview will release new downloadable monitoring solutions (“out-of-the-box” monitoring policies and dashboards) which customers can utilize in their existing WildMetrix installation.

New design features to support SNMP include:

• Centralized MIB Loader – Users will have the ability to load MIB files from any vendor to significantly increase monitoring ability.
• Integrated MIB Browser – Loaded MIBs can now be browsed to give deeper insight on what information can be monitored via SNMP on a particular device.
• SNMP Expression Builder – Easily create expressions based on instance relationships between MIB parent and child tables. The expressions can be built based on algorithms, filters and aggregates to formulate desired performance data.

WildMetrix SNMP supports many different requirements in the industry. Expressions can be created from virtually any information within the SNMP enabled device. The design supports working with very large tables, multi-table relationships, and aggregated expressions for live and historical analysis metrics data.
